Turkish Airlines to Create Dedicated A350-1000 Subfleet for Australia Flights

Turkish Airlines is expected to operate a dedicated Airbus A350-1000 subfleet with a different cabin configuration from its standard A350-1000 fleet on its nonstop services to Australia. These aircraft will also reintroduce a Premium Economy cabin after a long absence. They will additionally feature the airline’s new Business Class suites.

According to industry sources, these aircraft will have a cabin layout different from the airline’s existing A350-1000s. However, they will not be the ultra-long-range Airbus A350-1000ULR variant.

This largely clarifies previous claims that Turkish Airlines would acquire the A350-1000ULR. Aviation analysts believe the airline has opted for the standard A350-1000 platform to better match its operational requirements.

Turkish Airlines is scheduled to receive its first A350-1000 in the second half of 2027.
